I interviewed 5-6 different highly recommended companies. I felt that Driftwood Builders was the most knowledgable and professional. They did exactly they said they were going to do. They have a very nice reputation in our neighborhood.
They delivered what was promised and in the contract. They actually went beyond. After the roofers started we had some inclement weather and they stopped before it got wet and made sure that it was going to be leak proof. We were totally satisfied. Once the weather cleared up, they continued and still on schedule.
I am impressed with the high quality of service that Driftwood Builders Roofing provided. Owner Todd Munsinger was outstanding with explaining choice of roofing materials, scheduling the work, and the process of working with the insurance company. His office staff (Carmela) was terrific too.
Todd and his crew did a superb job in every respect. I can't imagine a better roofing company, roofing crew, and finished product. We've been moving around the country and had roofs replaced in four different states. No one before ever came close to being this good.

Of six roofers I called for estimates, Todd was the only one who visually walked me through my options and gave me a contracted quote on the spot. He gave honest answers — even when they went on the "con" side of my ledger. No wishy-washy, just straight answers that helped me make the right decision. His base prices were very competitive. It is the way business should be done.
We used Driftwood Builders after the last hail storm. While migratory companies were coming through town, I wanted someone who would stand behind their work. My roof has held up much better than my neighbors'. They have come out to inspect it a couple of times since and didn't use it as an opportunity to make more money. Truthful and honest — that's what I look for in a contractor.
A representative came out the next day — very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He instantly discovered the installers had blown nails too far into the shingles. Instead of replacing the entire roof, they replaced only the damaged shingles. Their timing was impeccable and I felt I was in good hands throughout. I highly recommend Driftwood Builders Roofing.

The crew peeled down to the wood and replaced sheeting in several water-damaged areas. They brought their own port-a-potty and cleaned up very well afterwards. Finished in less than 2 days. They clad all the vent stacks and painted them to match the roof color. The new roof looks great and I feel better knowing all the water-damaged areas are fully repaired.

They are GAF Master Elite installers — working quickly with great attention to detail. They replaced the roof, gutters, skylights, and window screens, then cleaned up my entire yard. It took a little time because the hailstorm that hit our neighborhood kept Driftwood Builders very busy — but they did a great job and were very accommodating.

After discussions with the owner regarding a communication breakdown, everything was clarified and resolved professionally. The owner reached out personally to explain and make things right. Communication is among the most important aspects of any service provider and Driftwood delivered on that.

Tom Baker looked very closely at my attic and structures, found previously undiscovered punctures and water penetration areas no one else had found. He was patient and easy to work with. The crew put on a solid new 30-year roof and added ridge vents for increased air circulation. Looks great. I'm still staring at it when I drive up. Nice people to work with and I'd certainly have them back.
Todd showed up on time, gave me lots of detail, answered all my questions, and the job was completed as discussed. He met with my insurance adjuster and helped me get the hail claim re-evaluated. He even got certified with Owens Corning prior to installing my roof so it would qualify for the best available warranty. I would use Driftwood again.
Driftwood Builders did an excellent job. They suggested we call the insurance company, then showed up before the adjuster. The insurance paid for the roof less our deductible! When roof tiles broke our bird bath, they paid for it without complaint. After a large storm caused a leak, they came right out. An exceptional experience all around.

This is the way a job should go. Todd gave an actual appointment time, called when traffic held him up, came with all the right tools, and gave an estimate on the spot. The representative was on time and very educational about what needed to be done. He explained the insurance process thoroughly. They discovered rotten decking during the job. The crew was on time, clean, and finished in a day. They handled all paperwork with the insurance company. These guys are real pros and run one of the best contracting companies I have ever dealt with.

I went through three roofers who promised a quote then flaked out. Driftwood actually followed through. When a second leak appeared, Todd told me it had to be fixed before Tuesday's rain and got a crew out on a day's notice. Tuesday it poured down rain. If he hadn't been so proactive, I would have had sheetrock damage on top of the roof repair. I can't recommend Driftwood Builders Roofing highly enough.
I waited to write this review until it rained first — we did not find any leaks. Our neighbor hired them previously and liked them. Their price was better than another roofer that gave me an estimate. They tore off all the old shingles, replaced a couple of boards, and put up a new roof all in one day.

Nathan made a fantastic metal roof happen for us. The first mark of excellence with Driftwood Builders is their obvious respect for their employees. The metal crew were professional and knowledgeable, and everyone was kind to each other! My 50 year old roof needed some structural improvements with the rafters, and they quickly rebuilt the corner of my collapsing roof without any damage to the fascia or siding. We had a great experience with Driftwood Builders after a hailstorm took out our aging roof. We had a low-stress meeting with Todd, during which he asked questions about what we were looking for, laid out options for materials and accessories, and patiently answered our questions. The process was very transparent from start to finish, with no surprises. The crew members were courteous and hard-working, and the clean-up afterward was excellent.

It is almost a year now since our roof was replaced and our roof is as good as new; the recent strong wind did not affect the shingles at all. Chris came out and checked our roof after the recent wind storms. Chris is always responsive when we have some questions.

Prior to installing solar panels we wanted to put on a new shingle roof. Driftwood personnel were the most responsive and helpful. Installation was not only on time but moved up a week from original schedule. Several plywood panels underneath the old shingles were replaced. Clean up was daily and thorough. Roof looks terrific. We are very satisfied with this company and would highly recommend them.

Excellent experience recently working with Chris Smith and Driftwood. They helped me work with my insurance company to replace roofs at 2 of my rental properties after a recent hail storm. I had an unusual issue and they were able to fix it! They couldn't find any damage to my roof from the outside but went into my attic and figured out that my home builder had used interior caulk instead of exterior caulk. That caulk had deteriorated and water was trickling into my attic through nail holes. I was impressed that they figured this out since it doesn't seem like a standard issue. I haven't seen any more water spots since they fixed it!
We used Driftwood Builders after the last hail storm. While there were a bunch of migratory companies coming through town, I didn't feel like there would be anyone around to warranty their work. My roof has held up much better than some of my neighbors. They have even come out to inspect it a couple of times since, and didn't use it as an opportunity to make more money. Even though he did no work and charged nothing, the service was great! He looked carefully at our evidence of a water leak, spent considerable time on the roof, and finally identified the problem as cracks at the stucco — not something he does, so he suggested we look elsewhere. For all the travel and time spent he charged nothing! With this level of integrity I would definitely offer him any roofing project we have.
