Todd was professional from the get go. Very responsive. His crew was out immediately to temporarily cover up the holes to prevent any rain damage. Once the contract was signed, I received a call from his secretary to confirm the repair date. The crew was there as promised, and finished the job in a single day. Simply Awesome.
This is the way a job should go. Todd and his crew did everything right. Specifically:
- When I called to set an appointment for an estimate on the work, a person (Todd Munsinger) answered. He gave me an actual time – 4PM on that Friday, rather than telling me he’d come out sometime on Thursday afternoon.
- When he saw that he was going to be held up in traffic and would be a little late for the appointment, he called to let me know.
- He came in a truck with the company logo on the side – small thing, but it added to the professionalism, in my opinion.
- He came with a clipboard in hand and all the right tools to look the job over thoroughly, get accurate measurements – then he sat in his truck, crunched the numbers and gave me an estimate on the spot. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. He presented me with a very professional contract, with all terms clearly spelled out.
- He told me he had some jobs lined up and that it might be 10 days or so before he could get to our roof; his office called on the 10th day and they came out to do the job on the 11th.
- His crew was knowledgeable and efficient. Went right to work and stayed at it till it was completed. Todd checked in on them several times along the way to make sure things were being done right. The crew left things in good shape, cleaning up after themselves. And the roof is beautiful.”
Great. They did this very large job in 4 days, left our place in great shape each day, and kept us informed the whole way. Excellent job.
Driftwood Builders representative was on time and very educational on what needed to be done with my roof. He explained the insurance process and what was covered and not. We ended up doing many upgrades to our home that we now see as real pluses. The new felt and inspection of the decking which did reveal some rotten decking. I am so glad we found that it, could have been 20 years before in got inspected again. They put new plumbing jacks on and drip edge that will protect our fascia. The crew was on time, clean, and finished in a day. They handled all of my paperwork with the insurance company. These guys are real pros and run one of the best contracting companies I have dealt with.
All went as discussed when bus owner Todd sat down with us to go over estimate-really liked the in-person review of expected costs, materials, provided full-scope of the job, materials delivered, the crew on time good, thorough cleanup. Bus owner Todd on site both days checking on work progress. and he came by after work completed to check if we were happy with results. The slightly higher cost of re-roof was worth it – used high-quality materials, instead of lesser priced standard grade.
The service was excellent. They were very proactive in getting the job done. He was very knowledgeable about the situation.
I was very impressed with Driftwood Builders and especially my interactions with the owner, Todd. When scheduling a roof replacement, Driftwood accommodated my schedule and the crew showed up on time. I had a special request regarding the loading of the shingles and Driftwood was happy to accommodate this as well. While my interactions with Driftwood, on the whole, were quite positive, I do wish that the sales department exhibited the same level of professionalism as the owner. However, when a slight issue arose, Todd was communicative, handled it well and worked with me to fix it. Overall, I would recommend Driftwood.
I found a leak in the shop right after I bought my house. I went through three roofers who came out to look at it, promised a quote, and then flaked out on me. I finally found Driftwood Builders Roofing. They actually followed through. His crew addressed the leak and several other issues with the roof on that building quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. A month later I found a leak in the main house. I called Driftwood on Friday. Todd evidently keeps track of the weather forecast because he told me it was going to rain on Tuesday and it had to be fixed before then. He expedited ordering materials and got a crew out on a day’s notice to fix it on Monday. Tuesday it poured down rain. If he hadn’t been so proactive, I probably would have had sheetrock damage to deal with in addition to the roof. So, if you’re looking for a roofer, I can’t recommend Driftwood Builders Roofing highly enough. Proactive, looks out for the customer, and is committed to the highest quality work.
It went really well. I had no issues. They were really friendly, really well organized and they worked quickly.
Driftwood was on Angie’s list and I liked their online presence, sense of comprehensive evaluation and roofing knowledge. That’s exactly what I got when Tom Baker came over and examined my house. He looked very closely at the interior of my attic and structures, found previously undiscovered punctures, water penetration areas no one else had found, and re-approached the roofing repairs from a more knowledgeable and logical approach. I got good advice on color choice and help with deciding style of shingle and he was patient and easy to work with. He referred me to see an area his crews were working in Travis Country to look at colors and styles. I found his signs in yards everywhere and one of the neighbors there wouldn’t stop talking about how happy he was with them. He had a crew here a few days afterward and I woke up with an army on my roof one Saturday morning working like fire ants. They had to clean up a lot of older, very low quality roofing and damages, and put on a solid new 30 year roof and added ridge vents for increased air circulation. Looks great. This house needed a roof very badly and I’m still staring at it when I drive up. Nice people to work with and I’d certainly have them back. This has worked out great for us.
Todd and his team were exceptionally helpful and professional. They went way beyond what other roofers had offered to do. They made special trips to my home to speak with my insurance adjuster and to verify that materials were delivered and unloaded as promised. Their workmanship was outstanding and they did a beautiful job of cleaning up after themselves. Now that I know them, I wouldn’t use anyone else.
Todd did a great job for me. He showed up on time, gave me lots of detail, answered all my questions, and the job was completed as discussed. He met with my insurance adjuster and helped me get the hail claim re-evaluated. I wanted to use a Owens Corning shingle and at that time he was certified only for GAF. He got certified with Owens Corning prior to installing my roof so that it would qualify for the best available warranty. I was very pleased with the workmanship and the scheduling. I would use Driftwood again and I give them a high recommendation.
Just wanted to say that we’re very pleased with the roof work done by Driftwood Builders. Our estimator was very professional and provided very detailed information on all the different options available to us. He was also very diligent in working with our insurance company. I would recommend Driftwood Builders to others and would use them again if needed.
Driftwood Builders did an excellent job. The new roof is gorgeous. They asked if we had called the insurance company to look at the roof, something we had not even considered, and then said that they would be there when the adjuster came to look the roof over. And they were there–before the adjuster. The insurance company paid for the roofless our deductible, yeeeaah!. Then, when we ask if they could do the job before we headed to Colorado in a few days, they scrambled to make that happen as well. When some roof tiles fell onto one of our bird baths and it broke they paid for it without complaint. Wow. A few weeks ago after a large storm, we noticed a leak in the roof. I called and they came out. The problem was a crack in a plumbing pipe, not really their area, but they built a protective cap to keep the leak to a minimum until we could get a plumber out. All and All it was an exceptional experience.
I talked to several homeowners in the neighborhood who had chosen Driftwood Builders to replace their roofs several years back and all of them said they were very pleased with the company and the work done. My neighbors’ feedback reinforced my initial impression of them … a professional, detail-oriented group that is interested in quality work. I chose Driftwood Builders Roofing and I’m glad I did. You don’t really know about a contractor until they start doing the work and a focus on the details is what makes a difference. I knew I had picked the right roofer when the crew showed up with their own port-a-potty. The crew came to work (not talk on their phone or listen to loud music) and even had one person cleaning up throughout the day so there were no piles of debris and trash laying around. In my opinion, this is a professional group that actually cares about the quality of their work and about my roof (almost as much as I care about it)
